Where are you located?

Echo Valley Ranch & Spa is located 50 km outside of Clinton, BC.

It’s about 5 hours north of Vancouver, and 2.5 hours west of Kamloops. The Highway going through Clinton is Highway 97, also known as the Gold Rush Trail.

The drive from Clinton to the ranch takes about 45-60 minutes, 33 km of this route is Jesmond Road, a gravel road. Jesmond Road is generally in good shape but can get washed out with potholes after the winter or after long periods of rain.

Is there a dress code at the ranch?

There is no dress code at Echo Valley, please wear what you feel comfortable in. We are a working ranch and comfortable outdoor walking shoes are recommended. We do request that you bring a pair of indoor shoes/slippers to be worn inside our buildings.

HERE ARE SOME RECOMMENDATIONS

OUTDOORS – Summers at Echo Valley are warm so remember to bring sunscreen and a hat; shorts and t-shirts are good for during the day, but evenings can still be a bit cool so bring long pants and a sweater or light jacket. Remember to bring a rain-jacket just in case.

RIDING – Jeans and cowboy boots are ideal, boots need to be smoothed sole with a heel. Alternatively, other shoes or boots will a heel will work as well. Some guests also like to wear a thin pair of leather gloves.

HIKING – Good hiking boots or shoes are recommended. Wear comfortable, breathable pants; jeans are not advised for hiking.

FISHING – Fly-fishing equipment is included for use on our private ponds. A license is only required if you planning to go fishing outside of the ranch.

FITNESS – Echo Valley has a full fitness center so bring your workout clothes and running shoes. We offer daily yoga (Ruesri dat ton) and meditation classes, comfortable and loose-fitting clothes work well for this. Remember to bring your swimsuit for the indoor pool.

EVENING – Please wear what you feel comfortable in. Some guests like to dress smart casual for dinner.

OPTIONAL – You may wish to bring binoculars, flashlight, hiking poles, camera, and a small day pack.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes, we can! We accommodate all dietary restrictions and requests, and our kitchen staff will ensure your needs are met with the utmost care. However, due to the nature of an open ranch kitchen, and despite precautions, cross-contamination can occur.

Are you open seasonally?

Our summer season runs from July to end of August and our shoulder season is in May/June and September/October. We also offer a winter season in November, March, and April. We are closed from December to February.

What time is check-in?

Check-in time is 2:30 pm and check-out at 11:00 am. As we provide three meals per day for you, you are welcome to stay for lunch on the day of your departure, or our chef will pack a lunch to go for you.

Do you offer a kids' program?

No, we don’t. The experience we offer is best suited for children of 10 years and older, who can participate in our ranch activities together with their parents. As such, the minimum age for a stay in Echo Valley is 10 years old.

Is the ranch pet friendly?

Yes, we are! We welcome dogs in select cabins. The behaviour of the dog must not impact other guests’ enjoyment of the ranch or pose a threat to the ranch animals. Pets are not permitted on the furniture and we recommend you bring your pet’s bedding and food bowls.

Is there a minimum stay?

Yes, our minimum stay is two nights to guarantee the best possible guest experience.

Is there a maximum weight for riding?

Yes, the maximum weight for riding is 200 lbs., but exceptions are possible depending on the experience and skill of the rider. Exceptions will be at our head wrangler’s discretion.

Is it possible to only book the spa or a ride, or come for a meal without staying at the ranch?

Unfortunately, no. Due to our limited maximum occupancy, we are not able to accept reservations if you don’t stay at the ranch.
