We loved the unique spirit of Echo Valley Ranch It was absolutly worth it to travel up the gravel road with our RV We stayed two nights at EVR and we felt like home. The whole team was a blast and it was so much fun spending the days with them. Andy, Mia, Troy and Darrel did an amazing job showing us around and made our stay an adventure with shooting, fishing, hiking and riding. The whole Thai Crew did a delicious Thai Dinner for us, we had a very relaxing massage and nice morning Yoga lessions! Kim the Chef - what should we say.. the food you served us was excellent! Thanks to Norm and the whole crew for having us! The spirit you have there is unique and we absolutely loved it!

Business get away Wow what a gorgeous location and place to stay. The staff are incredible, the food is so tasty and great variety. You can never tire of the views and so many activities. I fell in love with the dogs and cats that live there. The horses are so friendly and easy to ride. I can’t wait to go back in the winter time and explore then.

Heaven on Earth! I can only say: Paradise on earth! Such a very special, very peaceful place with the most stunning views! Trees, mountains and valleys all around, it could not be more beautiful! We were in awe! Such a great place for the horses, with huge winter and summer pastures. Beautiful little ponds to try your luck fishing, or just sit on one of the many benches and listen to the gurgling creek. Endless trails for biking, hiking or horseback riding. I can’t even say what the highlight of our stay was, somehow they were all highlights. Let’s start with the food: The meals were superb. I probably had the best lamb and Thai dinner ever, despite having been to Greece and Thailand. But it wasn’t just the food itself, it was also the people preparing the food and the people sharing those meals with us. Such a kind and interesting team. And such fascinating conversations at meal times! By day three, I’m sure we all sounded like old friends, so much animated story sharing, teasing and laughter going on! A very special atmosphere with very special people! Clearly one of the highlights of our stay, much appreciated and enjoyed three times a day ! (We opted for the family style meals, but you could choose to eat by yourself as well.) There are so many interesting and different activities on offer, but the best thing is, you can be as busy, or quiet, as you want to be, your choice! We opted for horse harmony, trail rides, fly fishing, survival spirit and Spa treatments. Plus the daily morning Thai yoga, very different from the yoga we know, and such a great way to start the day! Together with the three meals a day, that kept us ample busy. But we also took our time to relax and just “be”. In this kind of place, we sometimes just wanted to stand by the paddock and watch the horses. Or enjoy the scenery, completely in awe. Or play with the dogs and cats Having a Spa Treatment was yet another special treat! We tried the fusion treatment as well as the Thai massage. After that experience, I will probably switch from my usual deep tissue massages to Thai massages, I enjoyed it that much! Last but not least the trail rides. They can be as long or as short as you want them to be. We started out with the Horse Harmony to get to know our horses better and then off onto the trail rides, even though we were absolute beginners. Such fun riding through the forest on those beautiful animals! Seeing a bear from a safe distance was very exciting. We’ll forever cherish the beautiful pictures taken on those trail rides! We cannot thank our hosts and the whole Echo Valley team enough for this very special time we shared in their little piece of heaven. Thank you to all of you! Silke, Victoria BC Petra, Germany

Incredible experience We arrived not fully knowing what to expect, but very quickly we were made to feel welcome and nothing like a hotel. Everyone was very friendly and we felt like we were being invited into a well loved home. No shoes were allowed inside, but then friends take off their shoes in my home too, so if you don’t like to go bare foot remember to take slippers! The food served was of an exceptionally high standard, all freshly prepared with quality ingredients. For the three nights we stayed we were made to feel welcome and as guests called the shots for when we wanted to eat and which activity we wanted to take part in if any at all. For me it was all about the horses and therefore was lucky to be taken out for a couple of rides with Mia and Kenzie. The trails were fantastic and Diego was a lovely horse and I couldn’t have asked for better. Andy and Nan took us for a hike with all 3 dogs (even though 2 of them decided after a while that they had had enough and went home!). In summary nothing was too much trouble and both Norm and Nan were wonderful hosts, we would return in a heartbeat!

EVR, a peaceful retreat in the middle of pure nature. Going to Echo Valley Ranch was like going to a home away from home. We were greeted by Norm and Nan, our gracious hosts, Andy, who helped us get settled, along with Elsa, one of three border collies. EVR has many activities - horseback riding, target shooting, e-biking, and hiking (with wilderness survival knowledge from Darryl, our guide). There was also swimming and yoga. We were joined on a walk by Nemo, one of the ginger cats, who was also our personal greeter when we went back to our cabin. Norm and Nan brought a relaxed and friendly atmosphere to the meal times where the guests were invited to their table to enjoy a wide choice of culinary delights. (The passion fruit sorbet was incredible!) Guests exchanged stories of their day's adventures. We ended up meeting new friends from all over the world as we shared these times together. The service was caring, respectful, and effective. Thank you to Mike, who went out of his way to try to find our lost cell phone. Darryl shared interesting stories of his experience living in nature. He even gave us a jar of salmon he had canned while camping. EVR is a peaceful retreat in the middle of pure nature where we reconnected, reflected, and rejuvenated. Thank you, Norm and Nan, for such a vision!

Great for kids and adults EVR's friendly helpful staff focused on making our experience enjoyable. We went with out 10 year old granddaughter who had a wonderful experience with the staff, pets and livestock. She especially enjoyed the horseback riding. Our compliments to their chef for some wonderful meal experiences as well.

Glorious We stayed at EVR the May long weekend and were absolutely thrilled with the experience. The sheer beauty of every space and vista is simply astonishing. We loved riding the horses and taking in a gentle, restorative Thai yoga class first thing, before breakfast. Every meal was a symphony - just gorgeous. And the staff were fantastically helpful, easy to be with and fun to talk to. Really enjoyed the privacy of our beautiful little cabin. Love that all the buildings are unique and full of gorgeous detail - especially the woodworking and carving. Norm and Nan have created a genuinely magical place. Both luxurious and homey. Felt like a piece of heaven. ps. our sweet, old dog loved it, too.
